The International Cricket Council is the global governing body for the sport. The ICC Development Department’s role is to advance and strengthen the development of cricket throughout its 95 Associate and Affiliate Member countries. We are currently looking for a Global Development Manager (GDM) who will lead the ICC Development Department. The position is based at the ICC’s global headquarters in Global Development Manager
* The International Cricket Council is the global governing body for the sport. The ICC Development Department’s role is to advance and strengthen the development of cricket throughout its 95 Associate and Affiliate Member countries. We are currently looking for a Global Development Manager (GDM) who will lead the ICC Development Department. The position is based at the ICC’s global headquarters in Dubai and reports to the GM Cricket.
The GDM is responsible for the development and implementation of the Pepsi ICC Development Programme throughout the 95 Associate and Affiliate members. The Programme’s activities are funded to the tune of about US$300 million over eight years from 2009 to 2016. He is also a key member of the ICC Management Team.
Main job duties/responsibilities:
• Develop the strategy and implementation plan for the ICC’s Development activities;
• Management of the five key focus areas of the Development Department and of the Pepsi ICC Development Programme which are;
1. Regional Development Programmes
2. High Performance Programme
3. Development Events
4. Women’s Cricket Development
5. Member Compliance;
• Managing a budget of approx USD 30 million per annum;
• Management of the ICC Development Committee, Women’s Committee, Associate & Affiliates’ Committee and relevant Annual Conference meetings; attend Executive Board and Chief Executives’ Committee as required;
• Manage and maintain up-to-date cricket research information spanning all 95 Associate & Affiliate Members;
• Manage the balance between the aspirations and abilities of the Affiliates and Associate members vis-à-vis the Full Members;
• Implement and maintain an effective communication plan with all Members and stakeholders; build and develop an effective and positive network in order to facilitate excellent communications and outcomes; and
• Responsible for the roll-out and successful implementation of the ICC Developing Cricket World Funding Policy and the ICC Associate & Affiliate Membership Criteria processes in consultation with various Committees.
The GDM has 6 direct reports based in Dubai and is also responsible for 23 staff based in the regional Offices in Americas (Toronto, Canada), Africa (Benoni, South Africa), Asia (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), East Asia - Pacific (Melbourne, Australia) and Europe (London, England).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Business degree in a relevant discipline
• Outstanding financial management capabilities; attention to detail
• An appreciation of representative governance structures
• Experienced in working through unique and complex situations often affecting numerous and diverse stakeholders with conflicting views and interests
• Extensive experience working with different cultures; cultural sensitivities and business relations
• At least 4-5 years of proven experience at a similar level of management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as experience of Committee management
• An in depth knowledge of cricket development and/or sports development generally

The position would be ideal for a Sports Science Student. High levels of numeracy, literacy and information technology skills are required as the scorers will not only be recording the scores but also providing text-based commentary on the match. Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised will be highly regarded as will a genuine love of cricket. Above all, attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance are considered essential.
• Previous Paper based scoring experience will be highly regarded
• Scorers must supply their own transport and laptop with Wireless Internet connection, however an allowance is paid per match towards this.
• Scorers are contractors and must provide an ABN or Applicable certificate of with-holding. Payments are gross and scorers are expected to manage their own taxation liabilities.
• Some regional travel may be required, but in those instances all travel expenses will be covered.

? Manage the relationship with the ICC’s website partners, including the delivery of scoring and photographic services.
? Work with Yahoo Cricket, the ICC’s internet partner, the ICC’s Members and third parties where appropriate to develop a content sharing strategy to raise the profile of international cricket.
? Contribute to the development of the ICC’s social media strategy and to provide regular content updates to these sites.

Skills Required
? A strong knowledge of international cricket, preferably at Test and Associate level.

? Strong knowledge and documentation skills of all phases of a Product Development Lifecycle.
? A strong editorial track record, including excellent writing skills (in English).

• Experience as a performance analyst with an elite team, including the capture and analysis of video footage and statistics;
• Ability to undertake technical analysis of data to prepare player development plans;

• First class playing experience (preferred);

* With cricket being the fastest growing sport in Singapore, the time has come for the Singapore Cricket Association (SCA) to appoint a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to head its operations.
SCA seeks to appoint on a fixed term basis, an experienced, dynamic and energetic individual to lead and manage its activities. The successful candidate will report to the SCA Executive Committee and will implement and spearhead the overall vision and strategic direction of SCA’s cricket and commercial operations. The position carries an attractive salary package with benefits commensurate with experience.
The CEO will be a non-executive member of the Executive Committee and will, on a day to day basis, be responsible to, and work closely with the President and the Executive Committee.
The CEO would be responsible for delivering the following key duties:
• Overall responsibility for the day to day administration and financial activities of SCA.
• Effective corporate governance and compliance with statutory requirements
• Planning, managing, implementation and regular overviews of long term business strategies
• Development planning of National youth and women’s programmes
• Financial performance, management and accountability including preparation of Annual Reports, Budgets and Funding Reports
• Administration and arrangements of SCA’s AGM and Executive Committee Meetings as well as sub-committee meetings.
• Responsibility for developing SCA’s organisation, overseeing performance, conduct and welfare of all SCA staff and regular preparation of staff appraisals
• Overseeing all marketing, fund-raising, communication and promotional activities and identifying sponsorship and other funding activities
• Management of assets and facilities, activities and events
• National Team affairs
• Management of relations with the International Cricket Council (ICC), Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Singapore Sports Council (SSC), other related sporting bodies, and sponsors and stakeholders.
The CEO should have the following skills and competencies:
• Sound knowledge of information and computer technology
• Tertiary qualification, preferably degree level or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior management level position preferably with financial and commercial experience
• Be an analytical and creative manager with strong leadership skills who works well under pressure
• Experience in sport, particularly cricket administration, would be advantageous
• Excellent business acumen, interpersonal and project management skills

Working within Cricket Operations and reporting to the Cricket Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
• Management and leadership of umpiring in Australian cricket;
• Management of High Performance umpiring;
• Management of Cricket Australia contracted umpires, including selections/appointments; and
• Development, implementation and management of Umpire Education and Training programs and resources in conjunction with the Umpire Educator.

We are seeking applications from exceptional candidates for the new role of General Manager Strategy, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
As a member of CA’s Senior Management Team, the General Manager Strategy will be responsible for three major areas:
• Leadership of strategic projects;
• Ownership of, and advocacy for the Strategy for Australian Cricket; and
• Advisor to the CEO and Board, providing support by way of informal advice, formal presentations and documents, and representation at various events.
The next five years promise to be an exciting period in CA’s history, and the General Manager Strategy will play a key role in the following major initiatives:
• Rollout of CA’s Twenty20 Growth Strategy (2010);

• Re-negotiation of CA’s largest ever domestic and international media rights deal (2012-2013); and
• Hosting the ICC Cricket World Cup, in partnership with New Zealand (2015).
The ideal candidate for this role will have project leadership experience in a top-tier management consultancy or corporate strategy team. Media rights and sponsorship comprise around 80% of CA’s revenues, and as such, experience in the entertainment, media, and communications industries will be an advantage. Candidates with an MBA or another relevant postgraduate qualification will be looked upon favorably, although this is not a pre-requisite for the role. Strong quantitative and analytical skills are essential, as are communication and presentation skills.
An attractive remuneration package for this role comparable with senior corporate strategy roles will be offered dependent upon the successful candidate’s experience.

• Operating across a range of multi-media platforms (online, video, mobile and others) to develop compelling user-focused content including text based articles and stories, visual content (graphics, animation and photographic material), video content, player/support team interviews and audio content (pod casts and radio programs);
• Collaborating with media and corporate partners to access available content; and
• Publishing content into of cricket.com.au and other platforms as required.
To become a part of this driven, hard working and friendly team you should possess:
• Medium to high level digital video editing experience (preferably with AVID);
• Previous experience at camera operations, including framing, lighting and sound;
• Some video creative experience (know how to put together a story from start to finish);
• Radio and/or presentation experience;
• Ability to feel comfortable writing a script and voicing over a story;
• A team sports background with experience in dealing with high profile elite sportsmen/women;
• A published body of work (able to provide examples of written and/or filmed work); and
• The ability to travel extensively both domestically and overseas is required often involving weekends and extended periods away; and
• A love for and detailed knowledge of the game of cricket.
To be successful in this role you need to be a capable, dynamic self-starter with the confidence and ability to think on your feet to capture stories and content opportunities as they arise. A degree in Communications or Multimedia is desirable and a passion for and knowledge of cricket essential.

• Pursuing funding from various Federal, State and Local Government authorities to assist with the development of Indigenous Cricket at both National and State level; and
• In close consultation with State and Territory Associations identify the needs of the cricket community to increase Indigenous participation.

•Port Moresby, Mount Hagen, Madang & Milne Bay (Alatau), PNG (4 positions)

The selected Australian Youth Ambassador will assist any full and/or part-time staff, as well as the Board of the National Cricket Body to improve and increase its capacity to develop cricket in that country at all levels. This could focus on any or all of administration, planning, finance & income generation, coaching & cricket education, junior/schools programs, facilities development, cricket competitions and promotion & publicity.
Applicants will ideally have work experience in a coaching, sports management, development, event management or similar role with a national, state, government, or other type of sporting organisation within Australia, with a key emphasis on cricket.
Applicants will be self-motivated with a high level of enthusiasm and a proven ability to make things happen. The applicant will ideally also have any or all of the following;
• an understanding of organised sport (in particular cricket)
• administrative and communication/computer skills
• an understanding of financial management
• qualifications and/or experience in the relevant areas set out in the job description
• some teaching and/or coaching experience is preferred but not essential
Applicants will need to demonstrate an ability to work well in a team environment and understand cultural differences associated with working in another country/environment. A key challenge will be to have the ability to motivate and inspire all cricket workers, volunteers and stakeholders within the country. An understanding and recognition of the fact that people power can make a real contribution to development as opposed to cash funding, which is limited and difficult to obtain for the sport in most ICC Associate & Affiliate Member cricket countries.
The AYAD Program provides full support to cover the costs associated with volunteering overseas including; pre-departure medicals, insurance, travel, living allowance and the support of a dedicated in-country manager.
